The warranty period starts from the date on your purchase invoice or warranty card (stamped by the retailer). If neither is available, the manufacturing date of the product is used instead. (1) This warranty is a limited warranty and applies only to products sold through retailers authorized by Frando. (2) Please do not purchase products from unauthorized retailers. Frando is not liable for any damage caused by improper installation or use of products of unknown origin. (3) When purchasing, please ask the retailer for the user manual and warranty card, and have the retailer stamp it and note the installation date. (4) Product color, specifications, and included accessories are subject to change; Frando reserves the right to make such changes.
1. Within 7 days of purchase, a defective or flawed new product will be replaced; after 7 days, all cases are handled as repairs. 2. Warranty covers only the main body/cylinder; consumables are excluded: ・Caliper: body only (excl. piston, seal, screws, pads) ・Master cylinder: body only (excl. lever, piston, reservoir, screws) ・Hydraulic clutch: body only (excl. piston, slave-cylinder fitting, screws) ・Rear brake master cylinder: body only (excl. rod-end bearing, reservoir) 3. Repairs outside the warranty period or terms incur a fee (inspection, repair, shipping). Include your repair request number, plus accessories, warranty card, or invoice, when shipping the item back. 4. Fees are confirmed by phone/email before any repair begins; shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.
The following are not covered by warranty: 1. Warranty period has expired. 2. Product/parts altered, or tamper-evident seal broken. 3. Issues from improper use, unauthorized disassembly/modification, poor environment, improper maintenance, accidents, or other causes. 4. Damage from used/counterfeit/gray-market goods, accidents, human damage, improper operation, modification, or incompatible parts. 5. Force majeure (natural disasters). 6. Self-modification of original specs or color. 7. Normal wear, e.g. fading or peeling stickers. 8. Serial number altered/unidentifiable. 9. Consumable parts. 10. Cases the company determines are not defects. 11. Surface corrosion/paint loss from impact or friction. 12. Deformation/cracking from wear or material fatigue. 13. Color/surface fading from poor storage or long-term use. 14. Incidental costs from product malfunction.
Please keep your warranty card safe, as lost cards cannot be reissued. If you purchased and had the product installed at a physical store, be sure to obtain a warranty card from them, stamped with the store seal and noting the installation date.
When purchasing a used product, be sure to obtain the warranty card from the seller. If the product was registered on our website, ask the seller to transfer the registration to you. Once these steps are completed, the product remains covered under warranty for the remainder of the warranty period.
We generally recommend replacing the rebuild kit before installing a used product, since you cannot know the previous owner's usage history — including whether the brake fluid was changed on schedule or the caliper was regularly maintained.
After receiving the item for repair, Frando's repair department will schedule approximately 5–10 days for the repair (excluding holidays and shipping time), depending on the issue and parts availability, and will notify the customer once the repair is complete. You can also check repair progress through our official Facebook page "Frando Taiwan" — please provide the sender's name and the item's product serial number when inquiring.
Register the serial number printed on the product on our official website to verify its authenticity.
If you suspect you have purchased a counterfeit product, we recommend that you stop using it immediately to avoid any risk to your riding safety.
We only offer color customization, with a minimum order quantity. For details, please leave your basic information and the product you'd like customized via the "Contact Frando" form.
We recommend first returning to the store where it was installed for maintenance and troubleshooting. If the issue cannot be resolved there, please have the store contact Frando directly.
All pistons are made of aluminum alloy.
All current products are equipped only with oil seals; there is no dust-seal specification.
Since specifications vary widely and may not match, we recommend using the caliper's original rebuild kit.
On a very small number of units, slight color variation may occur due to differences in anodizing time and material batch.
All master cylinder mirror mounts use the M10 standard (right-hand) thread.
Yes, regular lubrication maintenance is required.
Yes, as long as the mounting method and hose diameter match.
Yes, maintenance is required. The interval depends on your individual usage habits and riding environment.
Since thread specifications may not be compatible, it can be installed as long as the mounting method and thread pitch of the other brand's cap match.

This means the brake system isn't generating enough stopping force. Since this affects riding safety, we recommend having it inspected at a shop as soon as possible. Possible causes include: 1. Oil or grease contamination on the disc surface 2. Brake pad material with too low a friction coefficient 3. Incorrect leverage ratio between the master cylinder and caliper 4. Brake fluid with high water content (moisture forms bubbles at high temperatures, causing insufficient pressure)
Possible causes include: 1. Dirt or debris on the disc or brake pads causing noise during friction. 2. Deformation of the disc surface causing uneven contact. 3. Loose brake system components causing rattling or knocking.
First check the bulb, then check whether the brake sensor switch has a poor connection or is stuck in a continuous "on" position.
We recommend having them checked regularly by a shop. Replace them when: ・The safety groove in the middle has worn away ・The backing plate (metal plate) shows rust or peeling
Squealing depends on the combination of the disc and brake pad, not on either component alone — and it's also related to the disc's material and design.
Abnormal piston movement is usually caused by installation or usage issues, in one of two situations: 1. Right after installation: caused by misalignment between the disc and caliper. 2. After a period of use: uneven brake pad wear causing the piston to sit at an angle. Please check the following points: ・Whether the disc and caliper are properly centered ・Whether both sides of the disc surface are flat ・Whether the brake pads show uneven wear ・Whether the brake pad and disc contact surfaces fully align ・Whether the caliper bracket is deformed ・Whether the caliper and piston are cleaned regularly (dirt buildup can cause poor piston movement)
The main purpose of changing brake fluid is to remove absorbed moisture. The replacement interval depends on where and how you ride: ・Humid regions: recommended every 6 months ・Dry environments: can be extended up to 2 years
Each disc model has a different minimum safe thickness. We recommend replacement when: ・It's approaching the minimum safe thickness ・The surface is no longer flat ・A floating disc's float travel is excessive
